1930s’ set of 4 heavy duty swivel stem casters. Thick cast iron wheels in steel forks. Ball bearing swivel mechanism under top plate. Although the threaded stem was designed to be bolted to a factory cart, today it’s ideal for mounting to slim table legs (an extremely rare configuration for such a heavy duty antique caster). • 2 inch long, 3/4 inch diameter stem on 2 5/8 inch diameter mounting plate

Great structural and operational condition. Cleaned- soaked in degreaser and scrubbed to remove thick factory grime and loose rust, leaving a clean, but aged patina.

Set of four extra heavy duty casters. These are new casters with 1934 design Art Deco cast iron wheels from Bond Foundry of Manheim, PA in pressed steel forks with a worn black painted finish. Each swivel caster has 2 raceways of ball bearings to best handle both horizontal and vertical stress. So, expect premium performance.

• 3 inch diameter, 1 1/2 inch wide wheels
• 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 inch mounting plates
• 3 1/2 lbs each

Antique Industrial Factory Cart Casters

Cleaned set of four cast iron swivel casters in rare double-wheel design, and EXTRA RARE rubber tread to be kind to your flooring (I come across a set every 4 years or so)….one of the very first casters with rubber. By Phoenix Caster Company of Indianapolis, IN, circa 1910s.

• 3 3/4 inch wide forks
• 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch mounting plates
• 12 wood mounting screws included

Great operational and structural condition. Rubber does show wear and flat spots from sitting for decades in one position, but this doesn’t seem to impede their rolling ability.

Cleaned: soaked in degreaser and scrubbed with wire brushes to remove factory grime and loose rust, leaving a clean aged patina. Moving parts lubricated and ready for installation.

Extra thick cast iron wheels in thick, hand-forged steel forks. Two concentric ball bearing raceways to better handle both vertical and horizontal stresses for optimum performance. Roller bearings in wheel hub for smooth rolling.

• 7 1/2 inch overall height
• 6 inch diameter, 2 inch wide wheels
• 5 x 5 1/2 inch mounting plates
• 900 lb load rating per caster per original catalog entry; please consider their current age and wear.

Good operational and structural condition. Have received a cursory cleaning- soaked in degreaser, then scrubbed with scouring pads and wire brushes to remove loose rust, dirt and factory grime. Remnants of original green paint with extensive oxidation, crusty paint, overspray, etc….far from pristine for that ultra-mancave effect. Moving parts lubricated.
