Set of 1800s’ cast iron casters in rare, double wheel design! Super-rare stem model is ideal for secure mounting to thin furniture legs. Swiveling and self-leveling- wheel assembly tilts from side to side, keeping wheels in contact with uneven surfaces. Model No.51 by Payson Manufacturing Company of Chicago, IL. Please note that circular holes in mounting plate do not function due to inaccessability from the bottom of the caster; stem is only aspect that would hold caster in place on furniture.
• Will raise your piece 2 1/2 inches
• 1 7/8 inch diameter wheels in 2 1/2 inch wide forks
• 2 1/8 inch circular mounting plates with 1 1/2 inch long, 3/8 inch wide stems
Great operational and structural condition. Scoured with power wire brushes to remove thick oxidation, soaked indegreaser, then hand scrubbed to remove dirt and grime, leaving an aged patina. Moving parts lubricated and ready for installation.
