1940s TROLLEY CASTERS

MASSIVE, heavy duty set of casters. Extra thick steel forks and wheels with rubber tread. Model 2400-S by Noelting Faultless of Nebraska City, Nebraska. I’m thinking these are from around the 1940s-50s. They look to have seen very little wear- rubber still shows the seam line going down the center of the tread, which would normally wear down quickly with use.

The two rigid casters (roll only back and forth) go in the center of the long sides of your book cart, and the two swivel casters go on the ends. The swivel casters allow you to steer the cart in any direction, while the rigid casters follow their lead and keep the cart stable.

As-found condition. Great operational and structural condition. Cosmetically, black paint shows normal wear. Dust and dirt.

In as-found cosmetic condition, but I will lubricate the wheel axles and swivel mechanisms to be sure they are in great working order.
